The 9th Pokémon generation – Paldea, new Pokémon and exciting features

With the release of Pokémon Crimson and Crimson began in 2022 the 9th Pokémon generation – and it brought numerous innovations that still shape the gaming experience today. From an open world to innovative game mechanics to unique Pokémon species from the Paldea region – the 9th generation is considered one of the most versatile ever.

???? The Paldea Region – Freedom and an Open World

For the first time in the main series, trainers were allowed to completely open world The Paldea region is inspired by the Iberian Peninsula (Spain & Portugal) and offers vast plains, Mediterranean cities, mountain ranges and coastal landscapes.
Players could experience the three main stories in any order:

The Way of the Champ – classic arena battles
Path of Legends – Battles against Titan Pokémon

Each starter develops into a unique final form:

Maskagato (Meowscara) – Plants/Darkness
Skelokrok (Skeleton) – Fire/Spirit
Bailonda (Anyhow) – Water/Fight

💎 The teracrystallization

One of the biggest innovations of the 9th generation is the teracrystallization.

Pokémon transform into crystalline forms and can use a special Tera-Typ accept.
This creates completely new strategies, as a Pokémon can suddenly take on an electric or dragon type, for example.
This feature provides enormous tactical depth, especially in battles and raids.
