Pokémon Legends - Arceus: New Adventures in the Sinnoh Region
A new action role-playing game in the popular Pokémon series is coming soon to the Nintendo Switch. Pokémon Legends: Arceus was revealed on February 26, 2021, during a Pokémon Presents event, alongside Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Brilliant Pearl .
Three months later, Pokémon fans received news on Twitter that the new game would be released on January 21, 2022. Until then, however, gamers will have to wait for many more details about the game. What you can definitely look forward to are new and improved features that you might already know from Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu ! and Let's Go, Eevee!
For the very curious among you, we would like to tell you what you can expect in the new Pokémon Legends: Arceus!
What will Pokémon Legends: Arceus be about?
So much is already known: The story of Nintendo's new game will take place in the Sinnoh region. However, it will be set in a time before Pokémon trainers ventured out into the world and proved their skills in the various leagues.
As a protagonist, you won't compete in different arenas with your Pokémon. Instead, your job will be completely different: As a member of the Galactic Expedition, you will help create the very first Pokédex ever. If that doesn't sound like a galactic adventure!
What's special about it? A large part of the region in the new Pokémon game can be explored using an open-world approach. Pokémon Legends: Arceus clearly takes its cues from its predecessors, Pokémon Sword and Shield . Those games also implemented an open-world approach in their Wild Area.
However, in the new game you'll already have the chance to catch wild Pokémon in the overworld. This doesn't mean you won't be able to start any battles at all. Unlike in Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, you'll still have the opportunity to engage in battles.

These are your starter Pokémon!
The question of which starter Pokémon will be available to you is of course particularly exciting! After all, what would a successful trainer be without his very first companion?
Contrary to what you might expect, the three starter Pokémon in Pokémon Legends come from: Arceus, however, not from the Sinnoh region, where the storyline will take place.
Instead, you were brought back from Professor Laven's travels to other regions.
At the start of the game, you'll be able to choose between Rowlet, the Leafwing Pokémon from the Alola region, Cyndaquil , the Fire Mouse Pokémon from Johto, and Oshawott , an Otter Pokémon from Unova. Which one will you choose for your exciting adventures?
What legendary and mysterious Pokémon will you encounter?
As the game's name suggests, you'll encounter Arceus . This mysterious Pokémon not only dominates the plot of the game of the same name, but also plays a crucial role in the creation of the entire Pokémon world. We'll explain more about this further down in the article.

Will you also get to know other legendary creatures from the Sinnoh region in the game? There is no more detailed information on this yet. So it remains to be seen what Nintendo has in store for its fans.
We can look forward to these new Pokémon
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you'll not only encounter the mysterious creator Arceus, but also some completely new Pokémon and Pokémon forms. So far, we know of one special, regional form of Growlithe that you can discover: Hisui Growlithe. There will also be a regional form of Braviary called Hisui Braviary.
In addition, we can look forward to two new developments of previously known Pokemon. In the Sinnoh region you will be able to catch Damythir, an evolution of Damhirplex, and Salmagnis, an evolution of Barschluft.
Of course, we hope that there will be many more new Pokémon to discover. It remains to be seen which these will be.

Arceus - The main role in the new Nintendo game
The mysterious Pokémon Arceus will play the main role in the game of the same name. This legendary Pokémon of the Normal type has been around since the 4th generation of the game.
Arceus not only takes on the leading role of the legendary lake trio, which consists of Selfe, Vesprit and Tobutz. Arceus also rules over the legendary Dimensions trio Dialga, Palkia and Giratina.
What is particularly interesting about Arceus is that it can accept any of the 18 different types of Pokémon. Its particular type depends on the tablet or Z-crystal it is
just wears. If Arceus has neither a table nor a Z-crystal, it has the normal shape.
The legendary legend of Arceus
Arceus isn't just any mysterious Pokémon. No, according to legend, Arceus is the god and creator of the entire Pokémon world. Thus it has a divine status. In the Sinnoh region and in Johto, the legend about the creation of the world by Arceus is even part of the local mythology. At the end we would like to explain to you in more detail what the legend of Arceus says exactly:
Before there was the world of Pokémon as we know it today, there was nothing but impenetrable chaos. But suddenly an egg developed out of nowhere, from which Arceus was supposed to hatch. With its 1.000 arms, the mighty Pokémon not only formed the universe, but also the world with all its Pokémon.
After the creation of the earth, Arceus went to the Sinnoh region. There it created two eggs at the top of the crater mountain. The mighty dragon Dialga, the master of time, hatched from one of these eggs. From the other egg hatched his opponent Palkia, the master of dimension and space.
From a third egg that was created by Arceus, Giratina hatched, which embodies the antimatter and thus represents the counterpart to Palkia and Dialga. After the three mighty dragons hatched, Arceus created one last egg before it retired. From this last egg, however, not only one Pokémon hatched, but three: Selfe, Vesprit and Tobutz.
After creating the Lakes Trio and the Dimensions Trio, Arceus withdrew to the Hall of Beginning that he had built. There it fell into an everlasting sleep. According to legend, only playing the legendary azure flute Arceus can travel from this sheep.
